We came to go-to-market from the engineering side.
Most growth partners can tell you what to do. Fewer can open the theme and do it. Punde Commerce exists because the gap between a strategy deck and a shipped change is where most ecommerce growth plans quietly die — and that gap is an engineering problem as much as a marketing one.
Book a discovery callWhy we work this way
After seven years building themes, apps, and storefronts for brands, a pattern kept repeating — the strategy was rarely the bottleneck. The bottleneck was that nobody could ship it.
The deck problem
Brands pay for a roadmap, then discover their agency cannot implement it and their developer was never in the room when it was written. Months disappear in translation.
Recommendations that survive contact with the codebase
When the people writing the plan also know what the theme can take, the plan comes out different — and it comes out buildable.
Measurement is not an afterthought
We built our own attribution app because we kept advising on spend we could not properly trace. You cannot improve what you cannot see.
We say no
We do not run paid media, and we will tell you when a sprint is not worth your money. Scope honesty is cheaper than a bad engagement.
What we can actually prove
We are a new go-to-market practice built on an established engineering one. Here is the honest split between the two — with no invented growth numbers attached to either.
Attributify — live on the Shopify App Store
Our own marketing attribution app. Public, installable, and the measurement layer underneath our retainers.
Seven years of Shopify engineering
Themes, apps, storefronts, and migrations for brands including Industrie Africa, Koibird, LashBoxLA, Plantura, Oustao, Naughton & Bird, and Assots London.
Writing with a real audience
An engaged following of ecommerce developers and operators who read the work on AI search, agents, and where Shopify is heading.
What we have not done yet
We have not run a full multi-quarter GTM retainer to a published revenue outcome. That case study does not exist yet, so we are not going to show you one. When it does, it will be a real number.
How we engage
Start with a paid sprint
A fixed 2–3 week audit that produces a buildable roadmap. Yours to keep whether or not we continue together.
Continue into a retainer, or do not
Roughly half of what we recommend, a competent in-house team can execute. We will tell you which half.
No handoffs, start to finish
The people who write the strategy are the people who implement it. There is no handoff to a delivery pod you have not met.
- How big is the team?Small and deliberately so. Punde Commerce is founder-led with a tight group of engineers rather than a layered agency. That caps how many retainers we take at once, which is the trade we have chosen — you work with the people doing the work.
- You are a Shopify agency rebranding as a GTM partner. Why should we believe the GTM part?Fair question, and the honest answer is that our engineering record is longer than our go-to-market record. What we would point to is that the failure mode in this market is the opposite one — strategists who cannot ship. We are starting from the harder-to-hire side. And the entry point is a paid sprint precisely so you can judge the thinking before committing to a retainer.
- Do you only work with Shopify brands? It is where we are deepest and where most of our clients are, but the go-to-market and AI-search work applies to any platform we can get into. If you are on something unusual, ask.
- What industries do you know best?Premium and luxury fashion and beauty, from years of client work. That said, the pivot broadened us deliberately — the mechanics of positioning, measurement, and AI search are not vertical-specific.
- Where are you based? The team works from New York and Bengaluru. Punde Commerce LLC is registered in Delaware, which is a matter of incorporation rather than an office. Most client communication is async across time zones, with scheduled working sessions when it matters.
